Hey guys and welcome! This is my blog dedicated to…well, noting in specific, just whatever my erratic mind feels like writing about whatever day it feels like writing it. I don’t except anyone to read this or follow me, but if someone does, this is for you! :D
My name is Melanie, condensed to Mel or Meli, both of which I prefer over my actual name. I’m FINALLY seventeen, (what I consider the “perfect” age to be) a cross between an immature, dorky girl, still not figuring out exactly where she’s going or how she’s getting there and a full blown adult ready to take on the world and finally move out (or at least get her license). I was born, raised and know nothing but Miami where I’m currently still living, to my disappointment. I go to Miami Killian, a prison looking little structure with shudders boarding the windows and half dead bushes crowding the entrance, (that’s public school for you) but its home away from home eight hours a day, five days a week. I guess I can’t complain since I wouldn’t trade all the lovely people I’ve met throughout my high school career for the world. I’m a junior wondering when I left the elementary school playground and teleported into the hectic world that will soon be part of my life. My passion is to write, a shocker to most, but part of everyday for me. I’m spontaneous and my thoughts are composed of scattered fragments and images. I over think everything, even those seemingly insignificant details. Who says those can’t be life altering? I’m a bit crazy and a bit quirky. There’s no doubt there’s something terribly off about me. Some say I’m too quiet. I don’t just belt words out. Observing is more of my thing. Calling attention to myself doesn’t appeal to me. I like to think I know who I am. I like to think there’s nothing more to figure out, but for all those dead ends and loose end threads, there’s writing…not just about happiness, sadness, and hard times, but about anything and everything because sometimes life needs a little chaos; a little disorder; a little distortion and somewhere someone with a big enough imagination to write about it…♥
